Uniform is part of the store's customer-facing presentation, but it is also a readiness task with lead times, sizes, fitting and ongoing care. A policy shared on the first day is too late if colleagues do not yet have what they need to work their shifts.

Confirm the approved uniform range, any role or season differences, the budget owner and the supplier lead time. Build a list of colleagues and sizes using the company's approved and respectful process. Give people a private way to raise fit or access needs and route exceptions to the designated people or uniform owner.

Schedule fittings early enough to replace incorrect or missing items before rehearsal. Record what has been ordered, received and issued, and who is following up on outstanding sizes. Agree how damaged or unsuitable items are replaced, what colleagues do while waiting and how uniform is cared for.

Explain grooming and appearance standards in observable, consistent terms using the current company policy. Check that managers interpret the guidance the same way across shifts. Do not add personal preferences or apply standards selectively. Questions about accommodations, discrimination, employment terms or local requirements belong with the people team or authorized specialist.

Before opening, check uniform readiness by person and shift, not only total units received. Give every colleague the same clear contact for questions and record exceptions privately. Review replacements and feedback after the first week so the process can be corrected early.
